Cinch it up sista!

Hares have long been thought to behave excitedly in March, which is their mating season. Lewis Carroll is among many who have used that in stories - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland:

"The March Hare ... as this is May, it won't be raving mad - at least not so mad as it was in March."

Alright--so it begins

I love fashion week even though it really is a year for me. This year I knew it was going to weird but come on, really? I will just say it.. it looks like so far, the collections are all made up of leftovers from the fridge! A hodge-podge of the last few years. Please, Please Wow me!

Happy Groundhog's Day, I would like to introduce someone who means a great deal to me. Although, she is not a groundhog per se, she would like to be seen on this only day I can think of in which we celebrate little creatures in this strange land of ours.

Yesterday, I went to the Etsy Lab Party and we had a grande time lot of laughs. I was feeling very old and unoriginal there are a lot of *black* and a lot of *rabbits* out there now (if you havent noticed) and I thought my once original concept had no place anymore...I have reinvented something this morning and I hope my freshness and newness will be apparent in the weeks to come..thanks to the little one perched on my bed and the smiling faces at last night's event.

Sayaka is wearing BlackRabbit Obi-Ribbon Belt. I am showing it here in Noir, Chocolate, and Sapphire. These were made for a great Etsy shopper who I know will wear them all ways and with her own personal style. Firstly, worn full and at high-waist, this picture shows the belt in Noir. Then, again the same belt worn folded, for a more of a true sash feeling and with the bow in the back, or gently on the side. Finally, the Obi-Ribbon Belt, shown here in Chocolate and Sapphire.

Sayaka is very asymmetrical with her taste and chose to wear the belt open, high-waist, and on the side. She is always doing her original take on my pieces and can be so inspiring.

I love working with this fabric and the rich colors. For Spring 2007 I will be making this in a Canary Yellow, a Heart Blood Red (now available for Valentines Day) and a Tangy Tangerine.

Bloomingdales SOHO.....what a 'celebration' I am actually still exhausted can you believe it?!! The Juicy Couture boutique was probably the funnest installation.
